Perovskite Tandems, Floating PV, VIPV and More…

Those who know me will know that I'm a man of many words — especially on topics that I'm passionate about, like rugby, records, and solar (to name a few).

So when I was approached to appear as a guest on The Clean Energy Revolution podcast and be interviewed by climate activist, environmental scientist, and ethical influencer Laura Young, I didn't hesitate to accept.

The podcast episode focuses on novel PV applications – and there truly isn’t anything more novel than its headline theme: space-based solar arrays. While we kept things closer to home our interview, we still addressed the cutting edge.

The segment spanned the gamut of new and emerging solar applications, including: floating PV, vehicle-integrated PV, building-integrated PV, and I was even able to sneak in a little on the promise of perovskite-tandem technology. It also provided me with the opportunity to introduce Laura to a handful of solar industry acronyms, such as FPV, VIPV, and BIPV (anyone for alphabet soup?).

Check out the audio version of here and below, or watch the episode on Youtube (the segment begins around the 35-minute mark).

Thanks to The Clean Energy Revolution for the invitation and to podcast production studio The Podcast Guys.
